The Salon

The Salon was a platform for creativity and global connectivity for artists, thinkers and doers. Salon attendees were invited to either be present to or present works of art and/or ideas based around a chosen theme. The Salon ranged from interactive and collaborative initiatives and creative communication workshops, live-photography, literary readings, and musical or site-specific performances. The programming built a bridge between local Chinese and Taiwanese communities and foreign nationals living in both Guangzhou and Taipei. The regularly occurring art happenings and workshops begged participants to rethink and be in conversation with how they communicate and share their vulnerabilities

The Salon was co-founded by Ariana Lombardi and Anthony Rowley. Salons occurred regularly from 2015-2018 in Guangzhou China; Taipei, Taiwan; Santa Fe, NM; and Brooklyn, NY.
